Feels nice but it's too slippery. Not for everyday use.
Snags easily.

Polyester sheets are most definitely hot. I wound up using mine for drop clothes the one time I bought them. Satin sheets are a pain to keep on the bed. They slide and never stay tucked. My favorite sheets are, unfortunately, the expensive high thread count cotton ones. And I think they provide the coolest surface. If you roll off the space they cool right down and are comfy when you roll back to that spot.

Real satin or that fake nylony crappy trailer park satin? Real satin feels awesome, especially in the summer when it's nice and cool against your skin. Slipper, though.

They are slippery, cold when you first get in, and get to hot if you a warm person. If you are getting them to sleep on, like you said, then don't. They are fine for entertaining. My sister got some one time. We were trying to make the bed and the comforter kept sliding off into the floor. She had silk pjs and said she almost fell out of bed during the middle of the night. If you are looking for comfort, go with a good cotton with at least a 300 thread count. The higher the better. Sleep tight!!!

Satin Sheets feel great in the summer time because they are always cool. They may feel a little chilly in winter, though. Also, if you have rough patches of skin on your elbows or heels, it will snag your sheets and make "picks" in them and they will look ugly and feel fuzzy. You also have to be careful with laundering because if they get wrinkled, they look and feel crummy. They do look cool on your bed, though, and they really cool you down in the hot summer time.

I love them. The silky soft feel on my legs is just heaven. my husband don't care for them, he is more fond of our egyptian cotton sheets. They are comfy but I love satin. if it's cool in the room the sheets are cool too.

LOVE them! But make sure you keep your tootsies nice and pedicured...rough heels snag. Oh, and be careful sitting on the edge of the bed in your pretty nightie which also happens to be made of satin...double slippery, as you can imagine!

I found them nice to look at but hideous to sleep on. It felt like I was on a skating rink. I think a high thread count egyptian cotton is much better for the money.
