If I want my landlord to consider changing the carpet in the living room because the pile is too high...?

...should I always call him and ask him to come rescue me becuase my feet got caught in the carpet fibers?

Do you think that if I knot my feet into the carpet very well that after enough times of him saving me that he will replace it with a carpet that doesn't have such a high pile?

You know that is a great idea and i most definitely think that you should do that and when he comes to rescue you, you should make it look like you had a big struggle reaching the phone and tell him "could you imagine if i couldn't get to the phone. i could have been stuck here forever with nothing."
Hahaha you should do it because i don't think that mowing it with a lawn mower would have been the best way. lol : )

Try to loosen up a bit, strategize you approach and try to be a little bit more "Mr. Nice Guy" thing. I am probably sure your lanlord knows what's good or best for you, it's just that somehow you must go with the wind or dance with the music for quite sometime. Doing those stuff won't make you look like you wanna be a noble man but such would perhaps win the other people's heart and mind as well as their symphaty. Do not anticipate but never hesistate. Feel free to say anything as long as it is not hurting.
