is usually found under bed frames? It's usually used to cover up the space between the bed and the end of the frame. So, if you look up from under your bed, you dont see wood, you see this white material. Any clues anyone? thanks alot. It has the same look as dryer sheets but is stringy.

We renovated our basement and knocked out a wall about 6 months ago. We are finishing the basement and have a ton of dry wall dust in the carpet. We attempted to vacuum it up and ruined 1 vacuum. We are still vacuuming up tons of dust because the air conditioner circulated it throughout the rest of the house. What's the best way to clean up our new basement without ruining another vacuum? (we tried a shopvac and it didn't pick up the fine dust)

I have a pipe in my kitchen that leads to a second floor radiator...I would love to put a cabinet on that wall, but the pipe is dead center...can it be insulated and worked around? I really have no idea what to do with it, it gets really hot in the winter.

I am having a 60" x 60" granite table top being made for my kitchen. I need to find a base that will support alot of weight but still be decorative. I do not have preference as to whether it is wood or wrought iron.

I don't know what it's called, but I have two blinds on my picture window in my living room (new house and it was left for us). Over the blinds is kind of a box valance thing that gives support for the heavy blinds. I want the blinds and the box is needed to support them.
I wanted pretty sheers or a scarf to decorate up the blinds (and box) b/c they are cream. Any ideas how to do this? I'm not sure if it would look right to put the scarf over the box valance or not. It is rather large and has a design, so it is wider than a scarf is, so you would definitely see it under the scarf. Any ideas out there? I'm not very creative. Thanks!

I recently bought a 1500 sq ft home with a Payne 3.5 ton HVAC unit, about 6 yrs old. I am adding a 600 sq ft addition. I need AC to handle 100+ temps in our southern summers. It is a one story 80-yr old farmhouse, with some vaulted but mostly 8-9 ft ceilings. How can I know if I really need a 2nd unit for the new part, or if the AC guy is just trying to make a sale?

I am moving into a dorm in August, and as strange as it sounds, I am absolutly terrified of the idea of having plan walls. Does anyone have any ideas in what I can do to make them a little... a lot less bare. I can't paint them.

So far we have come up with
pinning sheets on the walls.
placemats
bulliten boards
