How would I go about making this wall mural into like looking outside of a window?

Does that make sense?

I have an idea of maybe buying some windows/glass (yard sale stuff maybe) and making it so that it looks like I'm looking at the Vegas strip.

But the material is paper and I want it to look as real as possible.

If I read your question correctly, you are trying to put a city-scape mural outside of your window to give the illustion of a city outside of your window.

An easy alternative would be to have city-scape printed onto a window shade. That way, you could draw the shade to give the illusion of the city-scape, but you would retain the funcionality of the window when you wanted to.

I'm no expert on paints, but I have painted several wall murals using nothing other than craft paint. You can get this at any craft store. I actually bought most of mine at Wal Mart!! They are cheap and offer a wide variety of colors. They come in small bottles with a flip cap so you can squirt out just the amount that you need. And a little goes a long way, so they last a long time. They also wash off the skin very easy, which is great for me, since I'm very messy! And all of my murals have lasted a long time, even the ones that I painted in a day care center and they get touched all the time!!

Buy an old window at a salvage yard and put the mural behind it like a frame and then hang it up on a bare wall.

Maybe you can put gloss on it. I've just thought of a very good idea, if you can, try and get some wood and put them on the mural to make it look as though it's being viewed through a window.

you would have to have a huge frame, to frame the whole thing to create a huge window...otherwise you would have to cut it and that would be dumb. Get a smaller picture?

You could try spray adhesive if you have a smooth enough wall, test out a small area where you cant see normally, and use paper about the same thickness & see the results.

Where the picture has been folded, you may want to iron it. Use the lowest setting, put the picture face down and NEVER stop moving the iron. This should help the realism of the image.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes. Tell them what you want to do, and they should have someone who can help you better than I can. (Being there helps.)

frame it, if you don't like the outcome of that and you still want the Vegas strip , hire a professional painter to paint it directly on the wall.

Sounds complicated and time consuming. This sounds involved as all get out and you might be better off hiring a professional.
