At work I use a Henry Hoover http://vacuum-cleaner.electrical-guide.info/images/content/henry-numatic-cylinder.jpg but the last time I used it, whenever I switched it on, static electricity built up inside it. Whenever I touched the metal it shocked me, which made it very uncomfortable to hoover up and I eventually gave up and used another cleaning appliance. I don't think this will happen again but just incase it does, what's the easiest way to not get shocked by the hoover?

I was loading a car for a friend and had my black suede boots on. I knew they had gotten wet in the slush and when they dried they ended up with a white salt line on them.

STAIN lol. see, i got one of the weird makeup kits that people always get people for christmas. My little brother got into it! it totally stained my floor! it is all over, how do i get it out?!

p.s. "resolve" doesn't work, an it is the lipgloss stain, the ones that look like circles, that u use a brush to apply to your lips.

I want not to just get them out but keep them out. I don't have closets for my clothes and I have lots of them. I just washed the whites and had to get rid of tons of clothing where the "dust" that gathered on the sleeves and collars and seemed to stain the shirts. Everything hangs on hangers. I was thinking about putting the whites in bags like you get at the dry cleaners. I used shout and tide and bleach but the "stains" still didn't come out. Sad because some of the clothes I never even got to wear. How do you get these stains out and what is a good way to keep them off my clothes?

Not the soap or detergent...it's something you put in separately. And I'm sure they come in different smells...
I just don't like my clothes smelling soapy or detergent-y.

I have a J Crew sweater that is a little too big for me and I would like to shrink it to a smaller size. I think I may have streched it out some wearing a t-shirt under it. The sweater is 40% merino wool and dry clean only. I have heard that washing it at home in the washer would shrink it but I'm scared I may ruin the sweater. Its one of my favorite sweaters. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Homedics Garmet Steamer at Best Buy for about 60.00.

I hate to iron and someone told me that I could get the same results with a garmet steamer. I've seen the Homedics one at Best Buy for about 60.00. I'm wondering about creases though. If I'm steaming out wrikles, can I steam in creases?

What do you think?

Thanks and Happy Holidays

My daughter has a project in Home-Ec. to clean out her room completley. This is a large task for her, as a teenager, because she has no organizational system whatsoever.

I would really prefer not to but an organizational system for her closet, but tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm trying to get a handheld vacuum and was wonder if anyone know of a good one? The last one I had was such a disappointment since the power were so weak. Now I want one that is powerful and i guess would be good if it's save energy -.-' since everything now is about "saving energy" anyway. Thanks in advance !

Okay so my Chihuahua just peed or "urinated" on my BRAND NEW CARPET! I'm keeping it damp until someone tells me what to do. The shampooers broke and all I have is Spick and Span, Pinesol, Dish Detergent, and a Mr. Clean Eraser. HELPPPPPPPP!

I love how brand new DARK jeans look. But as I keep wearing and washing them, they fade. How do I prevent that? Right now I'm washing them inside out with cold water and letting them hang dry, but is there anything else I can do?
