Sorry the temperpedic is the only one proven to not collect bed bugs because of the material they are made out of. You could buy the most expensive Ikea mattress and still have the problem because they're all made out of the same materials. You could try getting a temperpedic foam mattress pad so at least your not directly on the mattress but it's still under that. It's recommened to change the sheets frequently (like at least weekly) to reduce bed bugs and it's probably a good idea to use bleach in the washer. Maybe spray the mattress down with lysol? That probaby won't work though. Just start out new and try to remain very clean about your bed sheets.

Tempurpedic. You'll never get bed bugs in them.
Edit: Any regular type of mattress will be able to house bed bugs. Normal foam mattresses have air pockets which can house bed bugs. Water beds obviously won't but aren't really good for your back over prolonged use. Air mattresses won't either and are the next best choice.
Tempurpedics have a 20 year guarantee and they usually let you make payments. Considering how long they last then you'd be paying as much or more for some mattresses over that time period which aren't nearly as good.

Your best bet would be a water bed. Are you sure you have bedbugs? You'd have been bitten and be miserable. Throw the mattress and box springs away and contact an exterminator company for advise.

No mattress will "prevent" bedbugs but the tempurpedic is the best for not giving them a place to thrive. The bedbugs can still live in the linens. They will also live in your clothes and under the bed in the carpet. Once you have bedbugs you probably will never get rid of them. Without DDT there are virtually no pesticides that will kill them.
