Is there anything you can use to protect panties with lace?

Well if you don't want to wash them in the machines, you can use something like Woolite in a sink. You can use a laundry brush to scrubs the cotton liners if they have them. Then let them dry in a bathtub or hang them somewhere if available. But I understand and agree why throw money out the window when you can take 10 mins to wash a weeks worth. By the way, I don't wear panties in case you were wondering, I just know how to do laundry.

hand wash with a mild detergent, rinse well & hang to dry-- same for bras. don't put them in the dryer because the heat ruins the elastic.
to protect them, maybe try panty liners--they even make them for thong style panties
