Okay so my Chihuahua just peed or "urinated" on my BRAND NEW CARPET! I'm keeping it damp until someone tells me what to do. The shampooers broke and all I have is Spick and Span, Pinesol, Dish Detergent, and a Mr. Clean Eraser. HELPPPPPPPP!

Use the mr clean eraser on the dog. It causes massive rashes. She'll never pee on your carpet again.

Soak up as much as you can with paper towel and you can treat the area with a dilute vinegar solution. But the best thing you can do is go out and buy an enzyme spray from the vet / pet store - it will completely break down the urine and you won't get any residual smell.

Get most of the pee up with paper towels get it as dry as you can then take a mixture of half vinegar and half water and saturate the area dry as much as possible with paper towels and then repeat at least two more times. This will clean it and take the urine smell out you don't want Lucy going pee there again.

One of the worst things you can do to carpet is wet it too much because the colour comes through from the underlay. Whatever you do, don't "pour water" on it. Soak up as much as you can. Sprinkle with baking soda - that gets rid of any odour. Vacuum

Throw away the carpet and kill the dog. No really get towels and or paper towels and remove as much moisture as possible. the problem with any liquid is that it gets in the pad under neath so use as little liquid as possible.

Clearly your dog has excellent taste, since it's just used it's traditional Chihuahua tactics to stake its claim to the same carpet you love so much. Congratulate yourself for owning such a refined canine as you call the dry cleaners.

Never use an cleaner that has ammonia in it!! Urine has ammonia in it and your dog might think the spot has been permananently marked for him to use. Try a mixture of three parts club soda to one part white vinegar.

if you have baking soda and water... Make it running and pour on the pee spot. then just blot it with a towel... It will take the staining out... I would also try it in a hidden area first incase it interfers with carpet color.
