My sister has requested a "good" iron for Christmas. How on earth do I know a good iron from a not so good one?? I have no idea what to look for. (And yeah, I figure a good one costs more, but I don't want to pay more for something that isn't any better, either!)

Maybe it has to do with all the hard water, but hotel towels seem to dry you off with just a quick wipe! Anyone know what the secret is?

I live in a apartment building, 5 apartments down, and five up. I am on a end upstairs, however what if these BED BUGS are coming from the apartment next door, coming through the cracks and the walls? I'm on section 8 and I don't want this thing known to sec 8 or the super intendant, without it being a huge production , and people looking at mne as if I did it, or that I'm a dirty person. Who splits the bill? Do I pay or does the super, or sec 8 pay?I dont have other people living with me, no pets, no kids. No BF how could they get here? Thanks again

I know it's a stupid question, but my dryer is working. It just takes four hours to dry a small load of washed laundry. I noticed the lint trap doesn't get filled up. I was thinking it was that. Is there a way I can clean it myself just in case there's a plug?

Anyone who has 12 year olds might be able to feel my pain here. Some how a 6 inch lizard (it was dead) ended up in the wash! We missed it when sorting clothes and it got washed & dried. Washing machine is fine but dryer smells AWFUL!! We've cleaned the entire interior of the dryer with bleach based kitchen cleaner & run 2 loads of old towels with tons of dryer sheets. Still stinks. Any suggestions? Saw a suggestion of washing out with Simple Green & then tossing in 5 + damp potpourri bags. Will try that but was curious if there were other ideas. HELP Please...

My son spilled about a gallon of laundry detergent on my living room carpet. I have already started to soak it up but it's taking forever and I seem to be getting nowhere fast. Any help would be appreciated. Another question...will this cause any kind of long-term damage to my carpet?

Just got this bra from victoria secret. Right now as we speak it's soaking in clorox, how do I make it white white white like how it was? Someone decided to use it to wipe something up that is sort of tanish yellow and its on both sides of my bra. Looks like the whole bra is turning that color... Please tell me what I should do or how long I should soak it for ?

They all say they are mold-proof, but after a while there's no stopping it. I put the liner into the wash and it cleans it really well, but the mold inevitably comes back. It's usually down where the liner clings to the tub and is probably because it can't dry out well there, but I can't figure out how to solve that issue.

Is there something with which you can clean the liner or something to put on the liner to keep mold from growing?

Hey ppl :)

I live in Belgium and the water here contains an enormous amount calcium wich makes it very time consuming to clean any "wet" areas. Any tips on how to deal with this? I have tried vingar and I'm sure if I scrub for a while it would help but I'm hoping there's something a bit more effective out there?? I have acess to American stores so recommendation of any commercial products American or european would be helpful. Please only recommend something that you have tried and know works. Also if you know of any scrubbers that works well and don't scratch the surface of the tub.

You all have a great day/night

Thanx a lot!

Hi, I am selling my fabric stash on eaby and am making money I so desperately need but they need to be steamed or ironed before I photo them or send them. Ironing takes so long and I know I helped at a dress store once and they had a steamer, I can't afford much at all, but can i buy something at Walmart that would actually work well or on ebay used. What is good ?

Does it wash as well as a normal size machine? How much can you fit it them? Can they wash pots etc?
Are they easy to plumb in? And how long are the tubes for the plumbing... ie does it have to sit right next to the sink?

Thanks!
