We cleaned the carpet with one of those bulky carpet cleaners and even used special pet soap stuff and we cleaned the carpet and there were a lot of pet stains from my dog. They were when she would have accidents as a puppy and they seemed to come up really well but a day or two later the carpet is still wet and the whole room smells really bad like urine. Im talking really bad....its so bad its smelling up the whole house. How do I get rid of this smell????? It is driving all of us crazy! Any suggestions?

I live in Nebraska and I recently moved out of my first apartment. It was a somewhat crappy apartment when I moved in. When I moved out, I was given an outrageous bill that topped over $600. Examples of the charges: Shower/Tub Track- $55, Blinds- $14. Ironically, I worked for a cleaning company and cleaned the entire apartment myself. Even if it was dirty, I know that it does not take that much money to clean it. I wrote them a letter and they knocked down the prices to just under $500, but I feel that is way too much. I really need help with this situation because I feel taken advantage of. Thank you.

I LOVE heavy fragrances that permeate the clothing & stay in it. Is there some secret method to make your clothes smell great? (And as CHEAPLY as possible?)....Dryer sheets don't work for me--they smell great while using, but the smell evaporates quickly; so I've switched to liquid softener, but can't find anything strong enough!

I have used TIde powder with Gain liquid softener in the past & it was wonderful, but recently, it's not as strong as it used to be and am TIRED of WASTING MONEY on name brands that smell great initially but then fade off the clothing! Maybe the old-timey DOWNY softener would work?

I don't want to have to replace the countertop, so I'm looking for some way to remove stains without damaging it. There are some rings, rust and grape juice stains. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

musty smell and it wont go away. I have steam cleaned the carpets twice. Once with my steam cleaner and the second time with a commercial one. I am making sure that all the water is sucked up and the fan blows constantly until the carpets dry. I am at my wits end with the smell and i need some help. I have tried the carpet crystals and they just masked the odors for like 15 minutes. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one in the kitchen. Do you have a special cloth to do it? And where do you keep that cloth, or do you throw it away afterwards?
That comes up costly (I used Comet to clean it all inside, and then threw the cloth away).

I have one sponge I use to scrub the tub and bathroom sink. I have another sponge just for scrubbing the kitchen sink. How often should I throw them out? I generally don't use sponges much since they can hold so many germs in them, but for those items I do like to use a sponge.

Because I was too lazy and too busy wasting my time answering other people's questions, I didn't bother to start my laundry until this evening. I finished one load and hung it on the clothesline outside at around 7:45 PM, at right around sundown. The second load was hung at around 8:30 PM. after the sun was completely down. I am in NY, it is now 76 degrees outside at 9 PM, the low for tonight is 73. It is a little humid (82%), and some wind (13 mph). Any chance my clothes will dry by around 1 or 2 AM when I go to bed?

I don't want to leave them out overnight and take them in tomorrow morning, because:
(1) I live in a garden apartment complex, although the chances of my clothes being stolen are very low.
(2) There are chances of scattered thunderstorms later tonight and tomorrow.
