You can buy traps that have a hormone that attracts the moths to them, and the moths stick to the inside. Leave them in the pantry for several weeks, and your problem will be gone. I've used them before, and they work great!! I believe that the I got them at Home Depot or Lowes.

I had the same problem. Go through your pantry and inspect everything for evidence of the moths. You will find evidence of them ( little spider webby looking things, actual moths, etc ) in whatever foodstuff is attracting them. Throw those things out along with anything that is not sealed to include spices, pasta, tea, anything grain based, cereals, etc. Whatever is left that has not been disturbed, place in sealed plastic containers. Vacuum your pantry shelves and I used Bioganic insect powder. It is made from cloves and is food safe. I sprinkled it all over the pantry.
Don't forget pet foods. The pantry moths love dry dog and cat kibble. Seal those in plastic containers, too. I also discovered them in my basement in a container of wild bird seed. It took awhile after the cleaning for them to be completely gone because the eggs they've already laid were hatching. They are gone now, though. Good luck!

the moths will lay eggs and cause larvae in the dried foodstuffs .....that is correct., and so to eradicate the moths one must eliminate the eggs, and to do so ....make sure allyour foodstuff is placed in sealed/or airtight containers...except...one or two open containers with food in them that you are going to throw outevery week.....these will have the eggs in them, because they are open ..get it ?? do this until you see no moths ,then make sure all your foodstuff is kept sealed while in the cupboard or you will be providing a nesting area for the moth to lay more eggs.......and the cycle will never end...just remember it takes approx 21 days to rid your house of these pests by following the steps above that i mentioned.

Well, start storing food in airtight plastic containers... Throw away anything opened and not sealed.. Wipe down cupboard with vinegar/hot water and let dry throughly.... Use shelf liners... If you buy new food put in plastic containers sealed... That should get rid of the problem...
