On the rare occasion that my husband gets the washing in, he leave the pegs on the line and says that it makes it easier for the next time I hang washing out. It doesn't, but I noticed the woman next door does the same thing - and there was me thinking it was a man thing.

i need my only pair of black shorts [i dont know if the material makes a difference, 50% cotton 50% polyester] to be washed by 3:00 but i don't know how to use the washer. i would just get the stains out with one of those tide pens and rinse them in the shower but they're really dirty from band camp and i don't know if that will help. AHHH!

Does anyone have one of these hoovers? If you do is it any good for the price?
Believe it or not I have never had to buy a hoover as my mum gave me her old one when I moved out and it's just broke after all these years! Can only really afford one around this price or am I kidding myself and I really should be spending more on one? (Bit of a hoover buying novice!)
Thanks in advance!

I'm moving out of my rental property and i've decided to clean it myself... well I vacume every second day and mop once a week or fortnight (depends on what it looks like)
after I mop the floors they look clean but if I get on my hands and knees and scrub in between the tiles then more dirt comes off... is there another way to clean this or am I doomed at scrubbing for about 6 hours?? the whole house is tile except the bedrooms and I would love to know if i could pour something on it and then mop over it?? I appreciate the help!!

I had never heard of Kirby until the other night when a couple of Kirby salesman came to my door asking if I wanted to have my carpets cleaned for free.

I won't go into the details about Kirby's sales techniques... which I do find unappealing... but I'm curious if anybody out there has bought a Kirby vacuum and if you think it's worth the price.

I can tell you that they were asking more than $1,800 for the newest model (the Sentria). The lowest they would go was $1180. I never knew vacuums could cost so much! And I passed on the offer -- even though the vacuum was quite impressive.

My goal is to clean the bathrooms on Mon.night, dust rooms & wipedown counters in kitchen on Tues, Wed. vacuum upstairs & steps, then Thurs. sweep downstairs & mop. Including working on laundry each night. I work Mon-Fri and thought I could do this house cleaning like this so my weekends would be free. Trouble is, it takes up so much time! I've heard of some people just vacuuming every other week, or cleaning bathrooms every other week. What do you do?

Last week I found that I have bed bugs. I automatically knew it was my neighbor - I live in a condo building. My neighbor is an old man who has clutter EVERYWHERE. His place is a wreak. He has multiple rental units and brings stuff that people left to his place. It's just plain nasty. I had an exterminator come yesterday to spray and he also had to check my neighbors place, who happened to have hundreds behind his headboard and his place was covered in black droppings. The exterminator found about 30 live ones in my place. Who knows how long he had them. My HOA is forcing my neighbor to have his place professionally cleaned, even though he wanted to do it himself. My question is, I know I got them from him but I can't prove it. Is there any legal action I can take if they come back again? He's a dirty old man and I know this is going to happen again in a matter of time when he continues bringing things and strange characters into his place. Is my only option to move??
