it's a dirty thing. what if they get pooped on by a bird, or get dirt caught in the spring-thing? laziness is what your husband and neighbor have in common.

No I never leave them on the line as they are never in the right place for whatever items I hang up next time. They are always in the way.
Much better to have them in a peg holder where they can be easily reached.

I don`t think it is a man thing. My two girls leave the pegs on the line. My mother never did and i don`t. Having said that my husband leaves the pegs when he helps bring the washing in so i go out after him and collect them. That was a useless piece of information. You will be none the wiser . cheers!

My mother used to put the pegs in a bag which hung from the line at one end. I do leave them on the line, because it is easier the next time I hang the laundry.

No I put the pegs in a bag that hangs on the line so that I can get to them easier.

I think it is a lazy thing to do, leaving them on the line, put them back in a peg bag, plus they get dirty with the weather then you find the pegs leave a dirt mark on your clothes.

Sometimes i do, but then i have to go back out and get them off the line, because my mother hates pegs left on the line so its something she passed on to me,
My neighbour always leaves her pegs on the line

Oh gee, I have not hung clothes outside on a line for many years, and I do miss it. The bedding and towels always smelled so nice! In the US we call"pegs" clothes pins, and as I recall I always left them in a cloth bag that hung on the line. Once I made a clothes pin holder out of a plastic bleach bottle which I had hollowed out the front. Your question brought back some pleasant old memories. Thanks.

This question made me laugh, as my pegs are on the line at the moment due to the one time my other half has got the washing in for me!!! I always bring them in - they get dirty otherwise.

I have a basket on a stand and the clothes pins are in there ,I find that if they are left on the line it looks messy for one, and the next time that I hang the laundry I need to wheel them all in. So I rather have the basket.

No. Everything comes off. My spacing on the line is not always the same and those clothespins (pegs) get in the way. I rather use them as I need them. Men can be so lazy!
