I guess you are trying to hide the fact that you are smoking.
You can try Febreeze or candles, opening the window.

I think if you are trying to hide it from a non-smoker you are in a bit of a mess because they will be able to smell it. I am a smoker and we do not smoke in house, but sometimes by hubby tries to pull one over on me and smokes 1 in the bathroom. I can always smell even if it has been many hours.

Eskie Lover is right - Borax, or Boric Acid, which you can buy from a convenience store like CVS (*caution: expensive*) is used along with hydrogen peroxide to fight mold and mildew, and as a neutralizer. It's acutally the most effective, and safest to use around people and pets.
It's also used as a pesticide (just a little side note).
Then, burn a nice-smelling candle, or mix some perfume and water and let it sit on "low" on the stove top, and it'll fill the room (similar to an oil-burner).
Good luck!

It was only one cigarette. The smell will be completely gone in 2 hours. You can help speed up the process by opening the windows and turning on fans.

Oh I don't know if I should be telling you anything, it sounds like someone did something they shouldn't be doing... but oh well, been there done that. But take it from me, don't start smoking, it's a bad habit to start and it's hard to stop. Been smoking for 25 yrs and I regret starting when I was 14.

Anyhoo, enough of the lectures, try febreeze

That wouldn't be that bad an odor, but I would suggest some air freshener formulated for eliminating cigarette smoke. Ask your local drug store or supermarket if they carry any cans.

Oh so you're at it again! Well - the best way to remove smoke odour from a room is to burn joss or insense sticks. They are the only thing to really work properly.

Put baking soda or borax on the carpet, use fabreze or Lysol disinfecting spray for fabrics on upholstered items and fabrics, spray oust in the air, wash the walls with white vinegar and wipe hard surfaces with vinegar (drying wood thoroughly).
