No, that's not ok.
Mold/Mildew will form on any damp object in a dark place if left for days at a time. By putting those clothes right into the dryer, there's a pretty good chance they contain mold and they are going to smell.

I'd strongly recommend she rewashed those clothes first and then put them into the dryer.

Oh yuck. Your clothes have to be loaded with mildew. That is so gross.

No, that is not good. They really should be switched over as soon as possible. I wouldn't let them sit in there for more than 12 hours for a normal climate. If you're in a humid area, I wouldn't go over six hours at the very most.

I have forgotten to get my wash and put it in the dryer, and when I open the washing machine to get them, I want to through up. the fowl odor is enough to make you sick. I don't know how she can put them in the dryer. I end up re washing them, as they smell terrible. No they are moldy by now and should be re washed.

It's OK for them to sit for MAYBE a day...but if it's really hot in the house the wet clothes will start to mildew. And they deff. start to mildew if they're left for days. Then they smell like mildew when they're dried.

If it bothers yoiu so much, you could switch them over :)

Bad idea. For a couple hours they will be fine, but after that they can start to grow mold on them and that doesn't come out of clothes. Either talk to her about it or start doing your own laundry.

they start to smell after awhile. they mildew. i suggest each person wash their own clothes so they can have them smell however they want. of course you can always put them in the dryer.

i have accidentally left clothes in the washer...they smell so bad when they're all mildewy. i'm paranoid about the mildew smell, so i add my detergent and while the washer is filling up, i add a capful of bleach to the water. it makes the clothes and especially towels smell much cleaner.

No! smell them! I bet there is mold growing there in few hours . If my wife forgets clothes in the washer (or if I do) she re-washes them even if they were washed last night. Then she dries them.

they tend to get a mold smell, so if you notice that they are sitting in the washer give her a hand and throw them in the dryer!

You already know the answer. It isn't important to her. Which is more important to you : standing in judgment, or just putting them in the dryer yourself?
