I swear this works. Pour white wine on it. If you don't have any white whine soak it in ginger-ale or water until you get some.

The chemical that I can't remember the name of counteracts the pigment of the red wine.

My mother spilled red wine all over her 2 week old light blue carpet and I took a bottle of white wine and while she was screaming at me I poured it on the spill she made. By the time I went upstairs to get some towels and came back to the living room the red was gone. After soaking up as much of the wines as I could with towels I sprayed foam carpet cleaner down and when it dried we vacuumed and it was as good as new.

Good luck!

They say if you spill red wine, then sprinkle it with white wine, and that will remove it. Then launder as usual. Another one is to pour club soda on it, wait a few moments and then wash it with dish detergent, and rinse. You can also try ammonia 2 tablespoons , a squirt of dawn dish detergent and water and rub gently and rinse in hot water.

GONZO will get it out. Look at local walmart or in larger fabric stores. Only thing I ever saw it would NOT get out is permanent hair dye and some markers.
