Bathing in bleach is probably not safe, I wouldn't recommend it. Good old soap and water should cure your stinking problem. If you always seem to have an odd odor, you could have a health condition. In that case, it's best to see a doctor. If it is skunk or something like that, I hear it's best to make a mixture of soap, peroxide and baking soda.

I used to live in an area that had a natural baterica in it that was not harmful, but I had no immunity to it. I would take showers and use about 1/4 cup of bleach in my body wash - it had to be antibactieral (Dial) and moisterizing. The dermatologist recommended this for me because it was so bad that if I got a cut, it was infected within two days and then back to the doctors to get more anitbiotics.

Try the bleach mixed with the soap. See if that works, but it can be internal, not external bateria that is causing the oder.

Another option is the water you are using along with the soap. Some water that is high in sulfer will actually smell worse with highly scented soaps. I stick to something very light in fragrence or fragrence free.

NOOOO dont bathe in bleach!! bleach is a VERY strong chemical!!

Take showers, not baths. That way the water will wash away rather than you just sitting in it. I like to take baths once in a while but I usually only do it for relaxation. I only take a bath if im already pretty clean. Wash all of your body in the shower - your hair, your face, behind your ears, your private areas..

Make sure when you get out of the bathtub you put d-oderant on (A good d-oderant, nothing cheep) and you can even sprinkle some baby powder on your body to help dry you and prevent you from smelling like sweat.

Make sure that your living space is clean. Wash your bedding (Sheets, quilt, blankets, pillow cases) at least once a week - vacuum, dont leave old food around, throw away garbage etc...

Keep your clothes clean. Wear clean clothes every day - and when your finished wearing them make sure that they are washed and fully dried before you wear them again

If you DO take a bath - you can try doing it in bakin soda. baking soda is cheep and it will not harm you. Or just buy some bubble bath!!

Good luck.

If bathing with soap is not getting rid of your body odor and you haven't been eating garlic or taking certain drugs including some vitamins, your problem may not be just skin deep.

Get evaluated by a doctor, you could have some metabolic issues going on, a fungus, sinus infections, gum disease, any number of problems.

As for bleach, no more than 2 tb per gallon of water.

Bleach is not going to hurt you if you put no more than half to one cap full.
But have you tried Anti-bacterial soap. It will kill bacteria that lives on skin.
You may also try reading up on using some soap with natural essential oils. things like tea tree oils, eucalyptus oils, etc. each essential oil does different things. and taking daily showers/baths will help.

I wouldn't recommend it. If regular bathing with ordinary soap isn't enough to get rid of your body odor, there might be some other problem. I would consult a doctor. Chlorine is a harsh chemical that could burn your skin or at the very least, change the color of your hair.

This is not a good idea. Bleach is really caustic and even in very dilute solutions it can cause damage to your skin and it is going to leave your skin very dry.

Try taking showers. If you take a bath, you're just soaking in your own dirty water. Not very clean, is it?

Ask your Doctor. Bleach could harm you. If you swallow any of it, you may die.
