What's the best air fresheners to use to help eliminate pet odors? I'm looking for something that will be powerful enough to eliminate odors and will spread nicely throughout a room without needing to re-spray every hour.

The glass top range in the house we just bought has these disgusting grease rings burnt on around the front two burners. What kind of cleaning agent should we use that won't scratch & ruin the stovetop? Any suggestions?

I was just wondering if there is a solution that I can buy that I can put in the dishwasher and run (without dishes) to clean the inside of the dishwasher a little. Our drain was partially clogged for a week, and the inside walls are a bit discolored.

Would it hurt the seals, and other functions if I were to run a little bleach through it, or would that mess it up. How much bleach is good.

Or what other cleaner can I get.

Please only people that have tried this, answer. Thanks.

Mike

I know I can use an iron to get wrinkles out of clothes or to put pleats in pants but I can't seem to iron effectively. I'll pass the iron over the wrinkles and they won't go away. Can someone give me a definitive way on how to do this, step by step?

Also can you iron without an ironing board?

I need to buy a new washine machine and I have heard of these new appliances called 'washer dryers' which do both things in one single machine.

I wanted to ask whether anybody has tried them and are they worth it? Somebody said that they are not that good, what do you think? And is any particular brand better than another?

I would like 'tried and tested' answers only please. Thanks

Would any of you organizeed types lay out a simple non-technical daily cleaning routine for me to follow?

As in, Monday - clean bathrooms.
Tuesday - dust and vacuum, etc.

I have 4 kids ages 2, 3, 11 & 12.
A laundromat that I do the daily cleaning and checking after.
A 4 bedroom 3 bath house
80 year old inlaws
Rental properties
and the most time consuming is running the 11 & 12 yr olds around plus dealing with the 12 yr olds err... pre-teen state. ;o)
And then my husband has a business.

I feel overwhelmed. I NEED SOME MORE ORGANIZATION AND ROUTINE. I just don't know how to make a plan I will follow. Thanks in advance.

What happened to the idea of putting powder detergent into dosing balls.
I know you can get them for liquid detergent.
The reason I ask is because washing powder keeps sticking in the tray and this seems like a cheap solution to this problem, but I have no idea if powder dosing balls are still made.

I have a new flat top stove that I recently melted part of my sleeve on. I can NOT get the melted part off - nylon/polyester... I am not supposed to use anything that would scratch it. I have the special cleaner that is recommended and a rubber scraping tool - some has come off but the majority is still there. HELP!!

I don't want to waste a can of Pepsi (and maybe it's a home remedy which is supposed to work but actually doesn't) but does it REALLY help clean the toilet and help get rid of smells?

I have a down comforter, however, after a while the side I use loses it fluffiness and the other side becomes extra-fluffy. To prevent it, I just switch the sides but how can I prevent this from happening again? Honestly, this has been bothering me for quite some time. Thanks!

I have a tear shaped like a "7" in the outer shell of my ski jacket - each arm of the tear is 2-3 inches long. Is there any way to fix it? Sewing doesn't seem like it would work as the fabric is so thin.

I have these orangey/yellow marks that are kind of splatted on the hood of my white hoodie. There very small but noticeable. I think that it could be a rust stain of some sort from the rack I hang it up on. Simply washing it doesn't help so what can I do to remove it completely if possible?

I've been hand washing dishes for my father since I was a young boy, recently my father just got a dishwasher for our farm house. I mean the time it takes to rinse the dishes and then stake up the dishes. It's such a hassle. Maybe it takes skill to quickly and professionally stack the dishes. I've only had a dishwasher for a week literally. actually less. It's been around for many years, but we have only gotten it now.

I used Shout on a few stains and they turned yellow when I took them out of the wash. One sweater also turned yellow, but I hadn't used shout. Are they ruined?
