I bought a pair of strechy capris and i think i may have bought one size too big. How can I make it shrink the most? (98% cotton, 2% spandex)

Wash in hot water and dry on high heat.

Clothes rarely shrink in the direction you want them to. I agree that hot wash and hot dry will shrink the most, but you may wind up with short wide capris when they come out.

Return them or give away. Using laundry to shrink things gives uneven results. You may loose the lenghth and still have a large waist.

if your garment say´s wash on 60ºc then wash on 90ºc this way you will shrink it . but I´d say best to wash on the 60ºc and dry on a high temp in the tumble dryer , like this you can keep checking to make sure you don´t shrink your garment to much

I would return them and get a smaller size but it thats not an option then try the hot wash and hot dry and hope it helps. if not see if you can take them in a bit to make them fit better.
