We've been using a Floor Mate but it doesn't get right up against the baseboards. What type of mop would you recommend for getting in the corners and along the baseboards?

I clean homes for a living. I use a wax mop. It's like a ordinary deck mop but the ends are tied and not seperate....it is nice to work with and there are no strings to get caught on anything or they don't fall off. Don't get a big one...just the ordinary size. Hope this helps you.

I love my CUBAN MOP !!! It does the best job , lasts forever (almost), doesnt cost a fortune for refill heads, and is more enviromentally sensitive! It is essentially a pole with a t-shape or a t-shaped wooden pole, you wrap a specially made floor towel over the t-end and mop ! When one side is dirty you reverse the towel. When done you throw it in the wash with other dirty cottons! You can get them at most grocery stores in FLA and perhaps Texas and Calif. You may have to go to a cuban market in other areas -- altho you could make one yourself. The dont cost much either. The pole is maybe $3 and a set of floor towels is maybe $4 or $5 for a set of 4(?) cloths.

I love my Enjo mop. Because it's rectangular, it gets into all the corners and goes right up to the edge. The handle makes it easy to manoeuvre and really saves your back. Keeps my floors very clean and streak free.

I use the Swiffer Wet Jet and made homemade pads by applying velcro to the backs of cloth diapers! Cheaper than disposable, environmentally friendly and just toss in the wash when you're done! Works great!

nothing easy will work, that I have found. A commercial grade string mop will, but that is a real chore.
