I was just wondering if there is a solution that I can buy that I can put in the dishwasher and run (without dishes) to clean the inside of the dishwasher a little. Our drain was partially clogged for a week, and the inside walls are a bit discolored.

Would it hurt the seals, and other functions if I were to run a little bleach through it, or would that mess it up. How much bleach is good.

Or what other cleaner can I get.

Please only people that have tried this, answer. Thanks.

Mike

I heard on Good Morning America that a package of lemon Kool aid would work so I tried it and guess what. Took the rust and stains out.

you should bypass by straightforward checking to make particular it extremely is working because it would. Are the filters sparkling? Are the jets interior the rotating hands sparkling? Do the hands rotate? (examine by noting their place, start up and stop the gadget and inspect them back) Does the detergent dispenser perform? Does the water get warm? Does the salt reservoir want topping up? Does the rinse help reservoir want topping up? If all this exams out use powder dishwasher detergent, (keep type is effective) no longer pills as pills can not replace salt and rinse help. different than that your gadget might want fix or changing. My much less costly Indesit is ten years previous and does a suited pastime daily. yet I do shop a watch on it, as above.

JET DRY has a new dishwasher cleaner out. I just used it two weeks ago. It did a very decent job.

It is on the shelf next to the Jet Dry and the Dishwasher Detergent at the grocery. In a white bottle. Very Simple to use.

First off, don't laugh. Get yourself a good sized container of Tang. You know the orange drink of astronauts. I can't tell you oz. size but the container is I'll guess 7" high 4" around. Dump the whole thing in the bottom and cycle as normal. This also works well for your washing machine. Something about the citric acid. Pulls rust, calcium, and everything. I was shocked, even the hoses came like new again.

Use vinegar - best cleaner there is. Run a couple cupfuls through an empty washer. Should do the trick nicely.

Vinegar. ....Helps get rid of the hard water deposites that may have built up in your jets. Helps break down any food in there as well.
Dump about a quart in and run it.

Not at all. I recommend using bleach, aprox. 3 cups would be ideal, dont use soap at the same time though.
