i have had flooring down about 2 months now and regularly sweep at and clean with those floor cleaning wipes that you put on a flat mop thing. Thats all very well but judging by the colour of my white socks if i walk around it aint as effective as i'd like. its as if its crying out for a good mopping but heard you shouldn't get them too wet? worrying about the boards warping if water gets down between sheets. any ideas plaes? thanks

Don't know why, but I always match the laundry item with the colour of the peg on the washing line. Can't seem to stop this habit! Occasionally there's a dilemma when I don't have a peg to match. Someone please help?!

I am so not motivated to get rid of things I don't need. The place is relatively clean, but my room and back porch are being treated as storage.

I have a vintage toy from 1963 that is worth $$. I want to make it as nice as possible for sale. A part of the toy is a sky blue plastic stand. The age discoloration on this is very obvious as the area where it connects to the rest of the toy is a much brighter, cleaner sky blue while the rest that is exposed to air is darker and has a brownish tint. Looks kind of like grease. Is there some specific cleaner that would be best for removing this? I don't wanna use anything abrasive or with bleach. Is some kind of solvent what I want? Is oxidation the correct word for this discoloration from age?

My sister left my wool, pea coat, in a bag, lying in a dip in the basement floor that happens to fill with water everytime it rains. So by the time I found it, it had already been covered in green and white mold.

I have a very thick winter coat that I LOVE! I have managed to get two stains on the back of it from draping it over a chair. I have tried to clean it because the dry cleaners seem too skiddish. Bad mistake. Now I am wondering about dying it a darker brown... Has anyone tried it in your own washer? How many boxes of dye? Any suggestions
