I have a very thick winter coat that I LOVE! I have managed to get two stains on the back of it from draping it over a chair. I have tried to clean it because the dry cleaners seem too skiddish. Bad mistake. Now I am wondering about dying it a darker brown... Has anyone tried it in your own washer? How many boxes of dye? Any suggestions

I think you know the answer to this question. The dry cleaner didn't want to handle it, and you've ruined it. If you try dying it, you will have a darker coat, with 2 darker stains.Sorry , there is no good news, or good solutions.

Take it to a leather expert and see what they can do - have them dye it if they cannot get the stains out because they may be able to match the dye color better
