Spritz it lightly with vodka. It will remove the smell.

What does it smell like? Mothballs? If it is just normal storing over the summer months I would say use freebreeze on the jacket. Or spray it with vinegar ( the vinegar smell will disappear after awhile)

Down can be washed if the cover permits. I'd probably hand wash it, but have machine washed many parkas over the years. Hopefully whatever caused the stink is water soluable.

If the stink is vomit, pee, feces, skunk etc based use an enzyme cleaner......Nature's Miracle or other enzyme presoak.

what is the smell you are trying to get rid of ? try hanging it out on the clothes line or dry cleaning, maybe in the dryer [no heat ]with a dryer sheet.
