Im not asking for the best brands, Im asking for the best technique. I already add a bunch of softener, which does help, but I want my laundry to smell even better.

I got some engine oil on a cotton blazer. How would I get the stain out? It's dry clean only, due to the lining, but I'm currently traveling. Thanks!

I've always done lights and darks seperate, and bleached towels and underwear. I even have to do a special load for sweaters, as I find the pilings and lint come off on my other clothing. My cousin, however, just throws whatever's dirty into her washer and runs it when it's full. Just wondering what the majority does.

My roomates and I recently moved into an apt, we are all 22 and we really smell 72. The apartment smells like mothballs and the smell is getting stronger even though there are no mothballs in our apt. HOW DO WE GET RID OF THE SMELL? I'm mostly looking for an old home remedy as my allergies are sensitive and Glade products cause a severe reaction.

thanks

We removed those old stickies that prevent you from slipping and falling. But now there's glue left on my bathtub floor. I have scrubbed it everyday to try and get it out. Using hot water to possibly melt the glue. I've tried bleach, ajax, simple green, but nothing seems to get it out. Can someone help? PLEASE!?

How are they made? I understand there could be long tubes with fabric wrapped around them in one piece, but how would neck holes be put in? How do they spin cotton in a tube anyway?

Why would I want to use one or the other? Is sizing better for your fabrics in the long-run?

We moved out together about 3 months ago, And have had a relationship going for the last 4 years. However more and more its bothering me that I do the laundry, the dishes, the cleaning, the garbage, the kitty chores, and buying all the groceries plus paying my half of the rent and bills right down the middle and i bought all the furniture for the apartment as well. How can I make this work better Because Im alittle tired of being used like a maid. I've told him he needs to pick up some of the workload and he hasnt. I'm thinking of making a chore list and assigning them to ourselves each week but are their any other methods you might recommend and if i do a chore list any suggestions for it?

I have been looking at Dyson all floors vacuum cleaners for a long time now. Are they worth all that money? Will they pick up my cats' fluff? Carpet and laminate floors? Are they as easy as they look for using on the stairs (telescope handle)? Fed up with spending money on vacuums that don't brush at all or suck effectively.

I have been a housewife for 22 years. I have totally lost my motivation to clean house. I don't know maybe it has to do with depression or maybe it has to do with the fact that I don't get much help from my kids. Two of them are in college so they are busy with homework, work and activities. Maybe it has to do with the fact that no one ever comes to visit anyway. So if anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it. I just cannot seem to find any enthusiasm. Could it be because of the colder, greyer weather?
