How do I get into the habit of keeping the house clean, without getting sick of it? When I get sick of it, I stop doing it, and then hubby gets mad. Help?

He works; I don't. I have two children, but they are too young to help with cleaning. They are just about to turn 2, and one month, so a lot of my time is spent watching them.

I have always heard 15 minutes on a day on your hot spots. My hot spot is the kitchen countertop, and my end tables! so i spend 5 mins in the am, afternoon, and night on my hot spots!

They says you can keep your house clean by working 20 at a time, no more then 20 at a time on each room!

sometimes use a timer and time yourself! I do this! make a game out of it! see how much i can get done, in the shortest time! try it with your kids too! race them. tell then you are going to beat them, and watch them run around the house cleaning like robots! lol

One of the best ways to really reduce time with house cleaning is to remove your shoes at the door. It helps keep the floor cleaner and you have to vacuum much less. I have this rule in my home and many of my friends do the same. It is the best way to do housecleaning without having to work.

spend one hour cleaning daily and then just before he comes home another 20 minutes straightening up.if this does not work tell him it is more important for you to take care of your little ones than to have a spotless house during the early part of their lives and that if the house does not meet his standards he should pitch in or hire help. a two and one month old are the equivalent of two full time jobs!P.S.dont let anyone convince you to do the drudgery at night when the kids are sleeping.like anyone working two full time jobs its important you get your rest and down time

Hello. The first thing to do is to get him to help you out, provided you both work.

Make yourself keep it clean for 21 days. They say that anything you do consecutively for 21 days or longer becomes a habit.

Hope it helps... (I am preaching to myself here because I have the same issues.) I have grown kids at home and I work at least 45-50 hours per week. I need help at times.

It's a tideous job we all know. Most important thing to remember is not to let it build up. If you have to stay up an extra 15-25 mins a night to do the oods and ends of the house chores.

TRY DOING NEW STUFF
like rearange your closet,dresser,or pantry
try changing the ruotine from time to time or try making a list and clean one room a day etc.
BOTTOM LINE:
cleaning the same thing every day makes you feel sick if you add some color it will just motovate you to do it
good luck

get yourself on a plan to do one major thing every day and a few little things every day, that way it wont catch up with you and become overwhelming and cause you to get sick of it. take pride in keeping your house clean as it reflects what type of person you are.

Get yourself on a schedule. Get out your ipod or headphones and clean away. Otherwise, get a housecleaner!
