Time to break out the Goof off- or Goo be gone- after you clean the wax crayon with the goof off or goo be gone, wipe over it with hot soapy water- and by soapy, I mean a dish washing detergent like dawn- I have successfully used this to remove impormptu masterpieces in my own home.

Mr. Clean Magic Erase Sponge

Try MEAN GREEN full strength- it's a great product and it's cheap-you can get it at walmart or the dollar stores. This stuff takes grease right off immediately on the stove hoods so it will definitely dissolve the crayon grease- if this fails, and I sure hope it doesn't, try bleach on a cloth and wipe the wall- assuming the wall isn't any other color than white or beige----good luck
PS they now sell crayons that are water dissolvable-you might want to switch yours.

Don't bother with chemicals or anything like that. All you need is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! Once you use it for the crayons on the wall, I promise, you'll be so excited on how good it is, you'll start finding things to clean with it!

I agree with this poster at Ehow: have your child help clean the mess and maybe they won't repeat it:
STEP 1: Gently scrape away the wax with a plastic spoon or spatula.
STEP 2: Sprinkle baking soda on a damp white cloth. STEP 3: Give the cloth to one of your tots and have him rub the marks off. STEP 4: Dampen a sponge for the other one and have her rinse clean the residue.
STEP 5: Really stubborn marks may require Mom or Dad to spray on a very grown-up product: WD-40 or other multipurpose lubricating oil.
STEP 6: Wipe the wall clean with a damp towel.
LAST RESORT:(parent do on your own)
if it is a flat paint the only answer I know of is to repaint the area.

I'm really surprised that you said Mr. Clean eraser did not work. It has worked for me, so it probably is the type of paint that is on your walls. Try Goof Off. This stuff is really good also.

Must be the type of paint that is on the wall Mr. Clean worked on our walls.

If you walls are white I would use kilz and just paint over the spot

I hear WD-40 works.
Spray some on a rag and wipe the wall. Might be a little smelly, but it might be worth it.
And then wipe the wall with a rag with cleaning solution afterwards.
