I doubt if anything will. Kool-aid is just sugar artifical flavour and DYE. It has dyed your carpet.

Honestly don't give that stuff to your kids, you might as well just be giving them dye to drink.

Read all the answers and try them and keep trying anything and everything. If you invest in the carpet shampooer (extracter) you will be happier but it still won't always work. I quite frankly wouldn't buy any stain remover that is too expensive unless it has a money back guarantee. The dye is close to impossible to get out unless you do it immediately with an extractor and then it doesn't always work. I have purchased many items from QVC & HSN that say they will take the stains out, some I have had on hand when the spill happened and still didn't work, so my investment was shipping the product back. Some items you get at WalMart have money back policies also. Try spot treaters or enzymes. My favorite, after removing as much as you can from the carpet (blot don't rub) sprinkle Borax on the spot then spray Simple Green on it and scrub it in. Start at the outside of the stain and in a circular motion work your way in, this keeps the stain from spreading out. Let this sit, I have for up to an hour, then get it up, I have an extractor, if you don't you will need to do a lot of blotting and add water and blot, etc. it will take a lot of work so you might not want to do it without the extractor. Borax doesn't foam so that helps but Simple Green does and that is what you have to get out. If you don't get the cleaner out the area will just keep getting dirty quicker than the rest of the carpet. For me when I have a "red" kool aid spot I figure nothing could be worse so I will try anything and everything but if you don't feel this way remember to test everything first on your carpet in a place that isn't too important like a closet. One other thing to remember once it dries your chances of removing are much worse, so even if you have to spritz it with water till you buy something keep doing it, you might be diluting the stain anyway, it can't hurt. If you find something that works don't forget to share it.

Hi

This type of stain is one of the hardest to get out the carpet. I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (from a kettle) on he spot and vacuum it up at the same time, (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than try putting dishwashing soap (2 or 3 drops into one cup of water or carpet spotter. Dampen the spot letting it soak on the stain for about 5 minutes and repeat step one. After this you should rinse the area again with the wet vac and water.

Get some Shot laundry stain remover, spray and let it soak and then scrub, if that don't work do the same thing with the shout, but suck it up with a carpet cleaner. If you have kids the best thing you can do is to invest in a carpet shampooer, you can get them for about $85 at Wal-Mart.That's what I did and that's the smartest thing I've ever done.

I use BlueMagic. It's a carpet stain remover. I bought my can at Wal-mart for about $5. I have also seen it at auto parts stores. It's easy to use and it doesn't smell. You just spray, blot, and vacuum the spot.

I swear by this stuff! I have also used it on clothes and stains in my car.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear about your carpet! I had the same thing happen on my carpets with soda! I surfed the net like a mad woman, but nothing worked. I finally tried the colorox bleach pen. It took the stain right out!

I paid about $4.50 for mine, but I was surfing the freebies today and I saw a link to get one for free!
