Our backyard shade tree was doing poorly due to earwigs, according to the guy at the hardware store. He told us what to get to spray the tree but my kids play around the tree all the time. Could we have brought them in the house? will they do anything to us?

My daughter put a whole loaf of bread into the garbage disposal and now the drain is clogged. I've used extra strength Drano and a drain coil/snake with no success. The clog has turned to a big clay-like dough ball. I know Drano works great on hair, but not doing much for this dough clog. Can someone tell me what I can use to dissolve this?

I'm pretty sure that I read a trick once in a women's magazine or housekeeping advice column somewhere. I've got the shoes in there, now, along with the jeans that I washed them with. The dryer starts fine, but, after a few minutes, the shoes knock the door open, stopping the dryer altogether, until I notice it again later.

Any tricks to keep those shoes from opening the door?

This year I used a pressure canner for my peppers. The instructions said to process at 11 lbs for 35 mins. The peppers were nothing but mush. Last year I used a hot water bath for 10 mins and they were fine.

The brine I use is 6c vinegar to 2 c water.
Can I cut down the process time with the pressure canner since I am using vinegar?

Thanks!

Hi guys,

Can any of u guys please settle an argument?

Copper pipework for new bathroom on ground floor, complete new build from ground up including bedroom on disabled grant.

pipework is bare copper under either concrete or between concrete and screeding, block insulation was put in and plastic membrane sheeting.

Now a guy yesterday told me those pipes should have been wrapped in some form of insulation etc, my bhuilder today told me that the pipes r not covered as the other guy was wrong.

The other guy said that there is something in concrete that can corode the copper in as little as 2 years.

Both the guy and my buider r decent guys, but whos telling the truth?

Cheers

Can someone help me find bedding to match my newly painted turquoise walls? You don't have to find a specific one, but tell me what color would match, and where to possibly find them. I'm thinking about black and white ones from dELIAS, but I really don't know! Thank you!
