I know there's knives and such... but I just wondered if there was an easier way. Thanks!

Use a piece of newspaper to make a pattern to cut the tile.
If you lay the tile out up against the toilet and try to cut you will make a big mistake , because it never cuts right.

If you don't want to use the utility knife, which is the easiest way. You can remove the toilet and just cut around the hole, but you will probably have to replace the wax ring around the hole. You also may create leaks when removing the toilet.GOOD LUCK!!

BEST way is to remove the toilet and install the tile under it. next best is with scissors and a template you have cut to make sure the tile fits when layed.

Score the backside with a utility knife, than bend and flex the piece. Then cut through with the knife again.

make a template iwth some paper by tracing it. then use a good pair of shears to cut it...
