I have a 7 year old Black Walnut that lost it's growth tip at about 4 feet. My husband has talked me out of pruning it for the last three years. Now it has bushed out and is creating a canopy that is too low for the location. I need to cut off four of the five limbs that come out at four feet, but I am wondering if I can safly remove that much tree in one winter.

I have a TRANE. Got home and the house was hot. Checked unit outside, and the fan was stuck, and it was hot. I cooled it with the hose, then push started it, then it started running. Later it stopped again.

OK, so my husband somehow melted off the plastic layer of my cord to the KitchenAid Stand Mixer. It's about an inch size damage. I can see green and a tiny bit of gold wires are exposed but not sticking out. Can I use electrical tape as a temporary fix? Can the whole plug be replaced or am better off just buying a new mixer, which I dread doing since my mixer cost me $200. Any advice gladly accepted=0

My kitchen sink currently has a hot & a cold knob, and a spout...pretty old fashioned. I want to go and get an up to date faucet with a single lever valve and a detachable spout to rinse dishes, etc. but have never installed one before. What do I do?

I just got a box full of things I had when I lived somewhere else. They were in a storage unit in Washington for six years. Now there is mildew smell all over everything that has fabric on it that was in the boxes. That means clothes (that aren't white,) TY plushies, a few thick cloth belts, and a few books. Is there a way that I can get the rid of the mildew smell without harming any of these childhood teasures? The TYs don't exactly have washing unstructions, so I have NO idea how to wash those.

The metal threaded drywall anchors are the ones that one scres in with a screwdriver... The plastic ones call themselves "heavyweight" -- you drill in a hole, then insert the anchors, then screw in a screw, which causes the anchors to branch out (like an open alligator mouth) into the wall. Which one is stronger?

Right in the middle of Lincoln Rd mall is this wild looking tree. This is only one of two trees I have ever seen like this since moving to South Florida. It is big and has orchid-looking flowers hanging down and also has large fruit resembling an eggplant (but green). No body has ever been able to tell me what this is. Here are pictures of the tree. http://www.deancoleman.com/tree.htm Any ideas?

I rent an apartment in an older house and the bathtub is really grungy. I clean it with lysol and regular all-purpose cleaners and they get rid of the dirt, but there are still really tough hard water stains. What are some good products and/or techniques for getting rid of that and making my tub and shower look cleaner?
