I have dug up one spot (in a line of locations...following a dead root line I am sure) and have determined the type of fungus...but I cannot find how to kill it so it won't come back. I've dug down about 8 inches and cannot find the dead root the fungus is hosting on, so I cannot pull that out. Before I cold patch the areas after I dig up the part of the fungus that is bursting out, I need to treat the areas so the fungus won't return.

I'm looking to put a sliding gate (3' x 3') in the entry way of an elevated deck. I am thinking top and bottom "weatherproof" sliding railings, any ideas about how to approach this? Any websites you can recommend? Any particular type or brand of metal railings I should use? I tried Googling, but being a complete newbie in DIY I am not sure if I am using the most effective search keywords! Thanks everyone!

Where do all those socks go to? You put in a pair and only one comes out. Is it just me or do other people have this problem too?
