I have a craftsman 42cc-18 inch chainsaw. My boss cought his tree down and gave me the trunk pieces that he cut down. They range from 2 feet wide ,3 feet high to 8 inches high, 1 foot high. I just got a blade for it. I set tension and it has an automatic lube. I read the book for the chainsaw and followed the directions, but after cutting 2 logs that were 8 inches high, 1 foot high the blade dulled out on me. It just will not cut anymore. I dont understand what I did wrong. I did not overload the chainsaw. Also any tips on cutting real big tree trunk pieces.

I have a portable washing machine that hooks up to my sink faucet, and I have noticed that even though I use my A/C, hot water, and electricity as much as my friends, I am spending much more per month on utilities than they are. Is this because I am using water from my sink faucet instead of a water line? If not, can you explain what might be causing my bill to be so high?

Thanks.

I have an old work shirt of my husbands that I am transforming into an art smock for my son. Currently the shirt is your basic button-up dress shirt. For ease of use, I would like to change the slit buttons to snaps. Is there an easy way to do this?

Any links would be awesome. I've already checked amazon, shopzilla, JCPenny, PB Teen and Target websites. Please help!

Can't go outdoors without getting a few of these tiny hungry creatures crawling on me. I have treated all our animals, cut back all bushes, keep the grass mowed. I have lived here since '89 and have never encountered this magnitude of infestation.

should i water in the morning, or at night, my dad says that if you do it int he morning, it will stay wet till night, well thats not true, because the wetness will dry up, this weather is hot still! its still summer...so what should i do, and when i water the plants, like the tree, should i use jet spray from the hose, or spray like a shower...

If you are a good organizer, please give me your suggestions. I hold on to every paper and have a folder in my filing cabinets for every single subject of my life...including "intimacy" "24 hour fitness" "diet" "fitness" "academics" you name it...I cant put away clothes in the event that "I might need it one day, or use it during a fat bloated day" and the worst thing about all of this is that I cant do any work in a cluttered environment...I get overwhelmed, lose it, and then procrastinate until I get a bad grade or miss a deadline. Please- any advice that may have changed you from a former-clutter bug to an evolved simplifier, I would love to hear about your strategies.
Thx a mill.

Dabbing the paint or rolling it on?
and what is the difference?

I cannot stand wiping the kitchen table. And washing the dishes feels so pointless, they'll get dirty anyways... Seems like it doesn't worth it. I'd rather use single-use plates and such...

The thing I love doing will probably move to only liking... hehe... It's cleaning the washbasin or sink, so that it nicely glitters afterwards...

What about you??

This lets out a very bad smell if we flush anything or not. Rotor rooter told us we had a cracked pipe under our steps. We hired an independent guy who told us that the trees in the next yard roots were getting pipes clogged and our sewer needed snaking from the out side every few months. Rooter rooter wants at least 3,000 to repair the so-called pipe. Who is right and what exactly is happening. Why would this independent guy be dancing around this problem the rotor rooter diagnosed? Is there any way we can test the theory?

I might add, my St. Augustine is of the old variety . On the south side of my house it has choked out all other grass and looks great. But on the west and north sides its not doing so good.

Hi,

After running the cold water in my bathroom sink I can hear the sound of dripping water 'inside' one of my internal walls.

I know I need to sort this out but is there any "easy" way of doing this without completely tearing down my walls / bathroom suite to find and fix the leak?

Any advice would be hugely welcome.

Thank you,
Chris

Hello,

I've connected a washing machine to my cold water supply (blue tap) under my sink. The machine works fine except that when I now turn on the cold water tap at the sink I get a knocking sound. If I turn off the blue cold water valve to the washing machine the knocking sound goes away. Why?

Please can someone explain how I can get rid of this.

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Jason
