I can't afford a plumber right now and it is a small leak.

yeah, if it works, its the best. home depot also sells some stuff for leaky pipes in the paint department.. its near the glue and epoxy. just try to shut the water off when you apply it, if you can..

JB Weld works well. No "patch" should be considered a permanent soloution. If there is a small leak now, it tells me the pipe has more erosion waiting to break through.

there are very cheap and easy to install yourself products at all home and hardware stores. its a plastic sleeve that you put on the pipe after cutting it with a pipe cutter also cheap and easy. the sleeve connects the two ends created after cutting and is permanent and water tight. They really work well and are quick and easy

id use a piece of rubber gasket and a couple radiator clamps
