I have tried fabric softener and I was them every time i wash whites, but still hard as a rock! Plz help!

I recently got the most beautiful ficus ever! It has triangle shaped, variegated leaves.

It is looking a bit droopy, probably from the move. However, I really really want this plant to thrive. I think it needs to be repotted. The soil is crusty and doesn't seem good anymore.

What is the best mix of soil and the best light for this plant? I am still somewhat of a novice, and really want to do good by this plant! I do have a ficus elastica that is doing fantastic. But I am nervous, and really don't want to kill this one!

Tide has a detergent called "Cold Water Tide" they claim it is formulated to clean better in cold water. Does it really work any better?
If it does, it could save a lot on water heating.

I have a Black & Decker 14v cordless drill (used maybe once or twice). When I run it, it looks like there are sparks inside visible through the slots on the side. Is this normal?

Called the 800 #, they're closed. Tried to set up a service call on their website, the earliest they can come out is Sept 11! I just bought this frig brand new after Katrina! Making no noise at all, nothings running. Any ideas?

My husband and I just purchased a new bedroom suite. We currently have bedding for a full size bed. However, the one that we bought is a queen. We are trying to find some new bedding that we can buy.

I have checked:
JC Penny
Bed Bath and Beyond
Overstock
Sears
and K-Mart
Are there any other good places to buy bedding? I would prefer somewhere on-line, but I'm willing to go to the store also.

the hornets are invading my back yard, can I just put up some kind of hornet catcher or put out something that repels them this is the neighbor that hates me but this is accidental I just need to know what to do as they are all over my back yard and I must go out there.

Hey! My brother and I were fixing up our house today [while our parents were gone] and we got some latex paint on the molding!!

What should I do?
Should I wait for it to dry then wipe it off?

I know that water would be a bad idea because it'd just get rubbed into the wood.

I went to use the lawn mower and it just died on me! At first it would start but only move an inch and died on me and now when I turn the ignition to on, it just sputter or click. Could it be the battery that's dead? Please help!

i finally got a window a/c small one, but all my windows open side to side, not up and down, can I still use it? there will be gap above with open space, but can't afford portable ones, have portable swamp cooler, but too humid here in san diego. My hot water heater just started leaking. I knew it would need to be replaced and am actually on the plumber's list. When I called him though it was not leaking and now it is. Of course it's a holiday weekend. Will it be ok for a few days?
