I never see them any where else in my condo, but sometimes I see them in the tub. Where do they come from and why do they appear?

I think they are simply using the tub drain to get water. Keep in mind that the trap under the tub always has water in it, as it should. I have also seen them in sinks.

Generally they appear in the tub (and occasionally the sink) because they were moving around and lost their "footing" on the smooth surface of the tub. That causes them to fall into the tub. They are unable to climb out again. The reason you do not see them more often is because they are reclusive, hiding most of the time you are awake.

Many of the spider species that inhabit the home are entering their mating season now, so the male spiders are much more mobile, searching for females.

Most probably there is an open window on your bathroom where the spider get into your tub. Spiders loves cool and quite place and found your tub a right place to build its web.House spiders are non venomious and they are helpful in trapping mosquitos

They come from someplace in your house. They fall into the tub and can't get out because the sides are too slippery. That's why you see them in the tub.

They come up through the overflow. I get them too. A lot of spiders like moist environments so they are attracted to tub areas.

Believe it or not they are coming up through the drain. They can actually navigate the pipes between water running through them and hold on when the water is running. They can't come up in the toilet because of the flushing mechanism.
