I'm pretty sure that I read a trick once in a women's magazine or housekeeping advice column somewhere. I've got the shoes in there, now, along with the jeans that I washed them with. The dryer starts fine, but, after a few minutes, the shoes knock the door open, stopping the dryer altogether, until I notice it again later.

Any tricks to keep those shoes from opening the door?

I would sit them in front of a floor fan to dry or outdoors in the sun. Drying them in the dryer causes the glue to come loose. Good luck! :)

You can buy a little bag made of net that hangs on the inside of the dryer door that you put the sneakers in to dry them. You may could rig something up yourself, like a pillowcase or something you have around the house. I have always heard that drying sneakers in the dryer can cause the belt to break.

I know a trick you might like to try to get your trainers dried without using so much electricity. Once your shoes have been washed, fill the inner soles with normal rice. Now stuff as many clothes that will fit into the trainers. Leave over night like this and your trainers will be dry next day. Great trick when you get caught in the rain and your shoes get wet

Put a chair in front of the dryer so the door can*t open.

I usu all add 4 large towels , so the shoes will move around and hit the towels, or get wrapped in the towel, and you don't hear the big banging , and the door doesn"t
open.
