i'm not sure but it hink the slugs in Gorton would eat you if you stood still long enough the only thing they don't seem to eat is weeds.

Darn things will eat just about any foliage. Take some bowls or similar recepticles and put them in depressions in the ground so that the top edge is just about flush with the ground surface. Put beer in the bowls. Slugs are attracted to the beer. It's the last time those pests will belly up to the bar.

there are GOOD slug baits out there... their killing ingredient is Iron Phosphate.... harmless to kiddies and pets and the environment as it turns to fertilizer if not eaten by the pests.... if eaten, the slugs and snail cannot eat anymore and crawl away to die... just read the packages and pick the one with Iron Phosphate in it as the 'killer' ingredient...........has worked excellently for me for three years now.......
