I recently moved into an older home. The stove in the house is really old and I was unable to find proper fitting drip pans to replace the original ones. Do I really need a drip pan when I am cooking? Is it safe to cook without them? What are they for?

My air conditioning unit came with my house and is now 16 years old. Recently it hasn't been cooling and I had a serviceman clean the coils and add Freon to it. Last year I had to have Freon added to it too, and now it blows but doesn't get cool enough. Is the system old and I should buy another or is the serviceman doing soemthing wrong? You would think he'd tell me I needed a new system but he hasn't. Has anybody dealt with this or know an answer? Thanks.

I live in north east kansas. The soil is good and damp most of the year excluding the month of august. I'd like bright colors and either long blooming or a variety that would go from one type then right into another as the first dies off. Please help. Thanks.

Need to repaint my kitchen. It has oak floors and oak cabinets and my kitchen set is wood. I HATE white walls, but I like neutrals. Unfortunately, with all the wood in my kitchen, the last thing it needs is camel colored walls. My kitchen joins my family room so whatever color I use in it will have to work its way into the family room because of the open floor plan. Any suggestions? Thanks!
