well you can get an air freshener the nuetralizes oders but you will be force to use it every single time you brew coffee. Honestly if the person is a roomate in which you had the place first then they should have to just accept it.
If its a spouse then some compromise should be given but I know I would never give up my coffee if my wife ask me to.

I don't know why people wouldn't like the smell of coffee. It's amazing.
