Bher has a color called "Butter Cookie" will look sweet with all your woodwork and will class up the family room. Don't like their paint so you should get the color swatch and then bring it to your local Benjamin Moore to have them make it in an eggshell finish for you, better yet I've got the formula have them make it in the Super Spec line. YW 1 Y 7.250/32, OG O Y11.750/32, GY OY 8.00/32 give them that formula in a quart to see if you like it, that was a gallon formula , with all that woodwork it will look "RICH" good luck Les the painter

What colors are in your family room? You might be able to pick that up with accessories in the kitchen, with a deeper shade on the walls and lighter with the accessories. Do you have light oak or medium oak?
How about your appliances?

A lovely color would be a celedon green (a light celery/olive color). That would look georgeous. Also a beigy/gold would be lovely too. These colors would be great for family room too. If you are selling, I would go with the beigy/gold color, as it is more neutral and will give the open floor plan continuity.

You should keep the walls white. Remember that you aren't painting the walls for your taste, your'e painting the walls to make a sale. Studies have shown that white walls are more appealing to prospective homebuyers. This way the buyer views your home as an empty canvas on which they can do anything they want.

well your getting ready to move so don't put much thought into it because more than likely they are just going to move and repaint to make it their own.... my suggestion is paint it white people look at white walls and see a clean slaight and start imaging what they could do with it to make it look better. That is from a professional persepective.

Definately go for a neutral color if you are selling the house. Maybe a very pale lemon yellow or pale sage green.
