It will be covering an oil based stain and will receive much use so it needs to be able to hold up. I have some polycrylic, but I'm thinking polyurethane might be better. Or is there something else out there?

I am getting ready to paint my kitchen but cant decide whether to be bold and go with red. My home is a tuscan style and I found the perfect color red but I am worried it will be to much. My cabinets are a dark maple color and my island is a painted antique white with a brown glaze. The appliances are stainless. What do you think?

Last year I had a duck lay eggs in my front yard under a bush. They would fly at you and the kids were scared to go out side. I have seen a male and female duck around lately and I am worried they are going to lay eggs again. Ist there any way to prevent them from doing so?

My wonderful husband was working on a project in our living room (while I wasn't there). Some wood glue was spilled and dried into our fairly short napped carpet. Cutting it out really isn't an option as it seems to have soaked almost all the way through. Any tips on how to remove it? Solvents maybe?

I know the basics, as we've had them in another location. But we have a baby due, and these pests are in and out of our house. Somebody please help.

My husband hates the new-fabric feel of his uniform pants. (He's in maintenence at a factory.) Is there any way I can wash them thoroughly enough to soften them and make them more comfortable for him without washing them a dozen times? (I use a coin-op machine and it can add up quick.)

By the way, we have hard water to boot. Would vinegar or baking soda mixed with the regular soap or in the rinse water help? Thanks for any suggestions.

Blessings

We have lived in our house for six years and our neighbor installed the fence five years ago. We had no part in the fence installation, we did not get to choose the materials, who installed it or if we got the picket side or not. He went around us on the whole thing. This neighbor has since sold the property and been gone for at least a year and a half; all of the sudden we have started recieving letters (in our door)demanding payment for half of this fence. Does he have any legal recourse, should we have to pay him?

I have an interview tomorrow at a big firm and I bought a cute new blouse just for the interview. I didn't even notice a tiny red stain (I think it's juice) on the front of it. It is rather small yet it's noticable. The materials are cotton, polyester and spandex. I don't have much home remedies. I don't know what to do?!

This is on a pendulum (hanging) light fixture. I unscrewed the old bulb and removed it, only to find that the silver base is still in the socket.

I have tried using pliers, but it is too pliable and it breaks off.
I have also tried using a potato, but that doesn't work either.

What else can I do?
