I live in southern Ohio and it has been raining nonstop. I don't want them to get washed out.

Wait until the rain is over and the soil has a sensible consistency. And wait until all chance of frost is past! Gladiolas are very frost sensitive.

Tammy was wrong about gladiola bulbs - you'd plant daffodils, tulips and crocus in fall. But gladiolas are commonly planted in spring, because they are frost sensitive.

Make sure to dig out the bulbs in fall and store them safe from frost at a dry, cool, dark space.

I live in montana zone 4 I will be planting mine probably in the next 2 weeks they will be in the ground so they will be protected but they wont bloom until late summer, I would just plant them when you have a little time in between rain storms. Good-Luck!
