I just picked up this used washing machine that somebody threw away on my newspaper route. It was next to a dryer that was taken apart, so i figured it worked alright. I called up the former owner, and i guess their is nothing wrong with it. Since i sell on Craigslist, i was wondering what i should sell it for. I was thinking $40.00.

Even when I wash my tshirts in cold and dry on low heat after about 5 washings they are trash. The only thing else I can think of is hangdrying just seems like alot of work for thsirts. My husbands tshirts that I was on hot and dry on hot dont though - go figure so Im guessing it has to do with the cotton that my shirts are made of - thinner generally. Any ideas on washing?

I have a living room window that, from windowsill to windowsill, is 74" long. I recently purchased an extendable curtain rod where you mount some brackets to the wall and the pole rests in the brackets. The curtains get threaded through the pole. I need to know how far apart the brackets should be mounted on the wall from the window sill and how high up above the window they need to be hung (in inches). There must be some kind of general rule for this....please help! The curtains are not going to be very heavy. Warm regards.

I live in Eastern Indiana and want to put groundcover around some bushes and trees in a confined area. I want something that will not strangle the trees and bushes out but will look nice and take over the area so I don't have to mulch. Thanks for any ideas.

After my husbands grandfather died, we found a felt Christmas tree skirt that his grandmother had made. Unfortunately it is off white and is dirty. I had put it away to clean later. (when I figured out how to). Then last weekend I found a very old santa suit at an estate sale. It also needs cleaned.
Can you dry clean felt? or are there other ways to get felt clean?
I don't want to ruin either of these items. Help!
