Obviously, the long pole ideas won't work for a chandelier. My husband is an electrician and you can install a lowering system for it that will lower it down and allow you to change the lamps. Unless they've come up with some new invention, it will take more than 30 minutes to install because not only do you have to lengthen the electrical wireing in the ceiling, they will need to wire the switch that activiates the system. It can be done, and you might be able to find the equipment at the home improvement store, but you will probably want a licensed electrician to install it. A manual system might also be used, but you'll still have to have additional wiring installed.
I like tall ceilings, but that's just one reason I don't have them.
Good luck!

RE:
Easy way to replace bulbs in high chandeliers.?
I need a folding 12 foot ladder to replace bulbs in the foyer chandelier. Have to borrow ladder from others. Have no other use for it. Are there lowering devices or something to make this chore easier?

Its actually easier to do what you are already doing than to engineer something that can lower your chandelier.
I know they make a pole devive for changing out recessed lighting bulbs, but as for a chandelier, I doubt that.

Check with the box stores or a janitorial supply warehouse. I believe they do make a device that will clutch the bulb and allow you to unscrew the bulb from the light socket. It's a pole with a clutch of rubber fingers at one end and a screw knob at the other. You just reach the rubber finger end to the burnt out light bulb and tighten the screw knob and twist to remove the bulb and then do the reverse to replace with a fresh new bulb..
Good luck and thanks

Lowe's sells a pole that is extendable. it has these little rubber tipped fingers that grip a bulb to let you change it from high ceilings

yes there are those products available and any good electrician can install them for you in about 30 minutes. no more ladders needed. and you can clean the whole thing the same way too.
