This happened to mine aswell. Can you still hear the motor running? If so, it is porbably the belt that is in the back that connects the motor to the drum - it may have come off.

You could try taking the back off and replacing it yourself, but I would advise you get someone in to do it.

Hope that helps.

It could have a boken/slipped belt or a belt motor that has burnt out. If you're good with tools, unplug the dryer and get out the owners manual. It's fairly easy to remove the back of the dryer to look at the belt, and even replace it. But....your best move is to call a technician.

The belt is broken. Easy to replace if you get onto the company that made the machine. Not a difficult job for someone with a little DIY experience. The belt should not be too expensive, and if you have a good machine it's worth getting it fixed. Good luck.

Is it making a strange noise? Mine did that once but it made a grinding noise. Turns out one of the kids must have had a large bolt in their pocket. When I turned the drum by hand the bolt fell out in to the drum. After that everything was fine.

Sounds like a broken belt

Knackered. Either get the repair man in, or get a new one. Tesco Direct have some at reasonable prices. Hopefully, the better weather is coming (soon!) and you wont need to use it.

the belt is broken. it's a bit intimidating (though not really difficult) to fix. you can do it if you are at all handy. its intimidating because you have to take a lot of stuff apart. I was worried i wouldn't know how to put it back together, but it went fine.

at a guess id say the belt has come off, dont call expensive repair men out just unscrew the back and pop it back on

Happened to me, the belt was broken, the man came to fix it and better now, if you have insurance or breakdown I would fix, if not I'd maybe buy a new one
