assuming it is an elmer's type of wood glue, use water. Don't listen to the other answers suggesting solvents like naphtha on this. elmers-type wood glues are water based. hot water certainly works faster- it will take hours to get it soft again.
If it was gorilla glue or another type of moisture cure urethane system, start cutting and buy a remnant.

If it's brittle enough, it should crumble out with the help of a plastic or metal scraper. If it's gooey, it's still possible but will be time consuming. Either way, I'd suggest "mechanical" removal with your fingers. I don't think there's any good solvent for wood glue. If you try one make sure to test it where it won't be noticed. Good luck.

before you try goo gone or any other chemicals try getting a frying pan and fill it with ice cubes and place the pan on top of the glue. Let it sit for about 30-45 minutes(refill with ice if it melts) Remove the pan and the glue should be frozen by then. you may be able to break it apart then. hope it helps....you may try using some plyers to crush and break the glue up once it has frozen

Depending on exactly what kind of glue it is, a long vinegar soak may soften it. Vinegar is always the first thing we try when dis-assembling furniture for repair.

Wood glue is water soluble, so scrub with warm water or a shampooer.
