Call the Salvation Army, Disabled American Veterans,
or other charitable groups, they will pick it up and give you
a tax donation voucher. Or check with churches in your area,
a lot of times they are setting up homes for refugee families
or families who've lost everything due to fire, etc. Or set it
out the night before trash pickup, the scavengers will probably take it before the trash men get there! Or you can go to Yahoo! Groups to find a "Freecycle" group in your area. The idea is
"One man's trash is another man's treasure." You list your
stuff, and other members come by and pick it up.

Put an ad in your Pennysaver in the E. Providence area. Also, what you can do is on a warm Sat and Sunday, this spring, put the furniture out in front of your house, and place a sign FREE on each item of furniture. Not to make it a total loss, have a small garage sale that day, and I guarantee you that the furniture will be taken by the first person who likes it and needs it. Salvation Army is very fussy, but call Good Will, as they may take it away, also St. Vincent de Paul.

I'm not sure if there is a group in your area called freecycle.org- but you can type it into your search box and see what comes up-it is a group dedicated to stopping the landfills getting filled with good usuable things and you can list it on their website and if someone wants it they can contact you through the group-I have aquired a bed with mattress and dressers etc... but i live in Iowa but it would be worth a try!

Call Salvation Army, they'll be thrilled to pick it up and donate it to someone who really needs it. They will also give you a receipt for your donation which you can use for a tax deduction.

Maybe people think if you are giving it away it has no value . Try selling it, say Moving Must Sacrifice!

Put a price on it, and list it on www.cragislist.com.

You'll get rid of it in no time.
