I made my father decorate my bedroom in stripes when I was a kid. I wanted them horizontal because the room was small. The effect was to make the room look bigger and wider. If they had been vertical, the room would have looked tall and very small.
The wallpaper was white with a green stripe, very simple. I loved it. The only downside was when he was papering the walls, he had to trim off an entire stripe to keep it green white, green white and not green white white green.

Horizontal would be most unusual, especially if they cover the entire wall from top to bottom. Stick with vertical if you insist of having stripes, but I thought stripes were out-of-fashion at the moment.

ugh dont bother you will feel like you are in a cage, in a small bedroom keep the walls simple to create space and add interest with splashes of colour and accessories like coordinating bedlinen etc stripes are only for zebras and inmates.

If the stripes are extensive and that i propose extensive flow diagonal. in the event that they're small do no longer even concern purely flow forward and paint, purely use different hues like for the window trims and the moldings etc. so one colour for the partitions and a different one for the trimming.
