I heard of one that was associated with ebay where you can get really low prices, or even things for free if you volunteer to go pick them up. I need to furnish my first apartment in a few months- please help.

Try The Salvation Army Center in your area, also Goodwill in your area and any second hand furniture shop. Look in the Yellow Pages and White Pages to get phone numbers. At least you can see the item in person. Also do a search like: "Used Furniture" or "Second Hand Furniture for Sale". See what you come up with.
